| It must have been in the deep trippy mid-nineties when David F J Lambrecht decided to become a fin-de-siècle-artist by joining Belgium’s most exuberant band ever: Lords Of Acid. He replaced Lord T Byron aka Frank Vloeberghs from The Neon Judgement, who had been playing bass for this sex, drugs & techno-band.Not capable to handle the exposure, Doggy Dave left the band after a year of touring the U.S.A., France, etcetera… After a long musical journey he slowly forgot those wild & romantic days, playing in several rockbands or avant-garde-projects. In 2008 he finally got ready to gave birth to his new brainchild and chose for Donquièstar, knight of the bluereddish light, as his stagename. Today Donquièstar makes electronic music, switching constantly between the different styles in this genre: from electrotrash to discopunk, etcetera… With lots of love from Brussels… |
